Lufthansa Technik breaks ground on new 55,000-square-meter facility in Portugal

This Monday, Lufthansa Technik marked a key milestone by officially breaking ground on its 55,000-square-meter facility in Santa Maria da Feira, south of Porto. Lufthansa Technik Portugal, founded in 2024, will create up to 700 new jobs in the aviation industry over the coming years. Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro highlighted the project’s value for the country at the groundbreaking ceremony, alongside representatives from politics, business and partner organizations.
