flyadeal rated the most punctual airline in the Middle East

flyadeal, the Saudia Group’s fast-growing low fare carrier, has been ranked the most on-time airline in the Middle East for May 2026 and the second most on-time airline across the Middle East & Africa region. This is according to the latest On-Time Performance (OTP) Report published by Cirium, a respected aviation analytics company.

Asia leads the way: LCC on-time performance in July 2026

July's Global LCC highlights: Philippines AirAsia tops the global LCC table in July with 94.4% of flights arriving on time - and not a single cancellation recorded. Japan's Peach Aviation is the only other carrier to clear the 90% mark, at 91.2%. Seven of the top ten LCCs by on-time performance are based in Asia, including Citilink, Jeju, IndiGo, Solaseed and Jetstar. The most punctual European LCC is SunExpress with 80.4% of flights on time, which is 14 percentage points behind the most punctual LCC globally. Among major European LCCs, Norwegian, easyJet, Ryanair and Wizz Air all sit between 64% and 80%. Four of the Top 20 achieved OTP of over 80% in July, but none of the Top 20 LCCs achieved OTP of over 90% Here are some key highlights for the top 20 largest LCCs , which account for 82% of LCC arrivals: The Latin American-based Azul Airlines is most punctual in July 2026 with 86.2% of flights arriving on time. Southwest Airlines (the largest LCC) operated 68.4% of flights on time, placing the airline 13th in the 'largest' group for OTP performance. The LCC with highest cancellat ion rates amongst this group is JetBlue, with 8.3% of flights cancelled in July. The US-based LCC also operated the lowest OTP within the Top 20, with 59.2% of flights arriving on time.
