On July 8th, 2026, Air Canada announced that Anko van der Werff - the (now) outgoing CEO of Scandinavian carrier SAS, will become the Canadian airline’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as a member of the carrier’s Board,All of this is set to take place by the end of January 2027.
Van der Werff has six months to hand over the keys, and by the time he does, the people choosing his successor may not be the people sitting on the board today.
