India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has missed the preferred one-year deadline to explain the cause of the tragic Air India Flight 171 crash.

Air India is reportedly deferring aircraft deliveries, cutting flights, and postponing new routes in an attempt to stem massive financial losses.

I wish I could say I’m surprised by this development, but it seems like this was bound to happen, and some really bad luck along the way didn’t help either…
The investigation will continue past the one-year anniversary on Friday.
